Senior Secondary (Cooroy) campus

​The Cooroy Campus is situated at 2 Tulip Street Cooroy. The site was opened in 1963 and is the longest established secondary school in the Noosa area. The Cooroy Campus now caters for students in Year 9 to 12. The Cooroy Campus curriculum is a continum of the offerings at our Junior Secondary - Pomona Campus. There is a rich and diverse range of subject options, specialist facilities and dedicated staff enabling Noosa District State High to celebrate consistently outstanding results.

Our broad curriculum is designed to meet the diverse pathways of our students. Some of our unique curriculum offerings, along with Live Production mentioned above, include:

Aerospace – providing students with a holistic understanding of the aviation industry along with the utilization of flight simulators to provide a realistic experience of flying a plane.

Agriculture - a small farm exists on our Cooroy Campus where students get to work with poultry, crayfish, sheep, cattle and bees and study Horticultural Principles including backyard gardening, crop production and plant propagation

Dance - enriched by experiences in Performance, Choreography and Appreciation.

Film Television and New Media – student are able to design, produce and critique film trailers, short films, documentaries and promotional clips. ​in our custom built  studio which is capable of recording an 8 track band and produces videos using a green screen and chromakey. This enables students to prepare and present multimodal presentations for their class assessments in a range of subject areas including English, Humanities, Science, Drama and Business.

Hospitality – a full industrial kitchen, along with a restaurant on campus allows students to experience all aspects of hospitality. 

Marine Studies and Aquatic Practices – students are able to investigate marine environments and even obtain a boat license. NDSHS owns and runs a fleet of commercially registered vessels for training purposes. 

Music – students can undertake classroom and or specific instrumental music lessons as well as being part of the school bands. 

Our Cooroy Campus continues to evolve, creating the space for opportunities and excellence in learning and the pathway to successful futures.
